Laser hair removal — an effective way to get rid of hair

It is the 21st century.

Published · Updated

It is the 21st century. Smooth skin is in fashion — ideally over the whole body. Laser hair removal is one of many ways of getting rid of unwanted hair. Not the only one, of course, but — to be objective — the best. Why?

Because the results of laser therapy can be enjoyed for a few years, or even longer. Nothing gives a longer or better effect.

Waxing is just as effective, especially as all the hair is removed in a single session, but the pain that comes with it is not bearable for everyone. The second issue is how short-lived the result is: after just a few weeks you can see the removed hair growing back.

I had laser hair removal myself 9 years ago and, believe me, literally 3 hairs grow back. Of course, for that kind of result you need to complete the full series with the right intervals. Some people are afraid of laser therapy because they think the treatment hurts. Today we have devices with built-in cooling, which makes the treatment almost painless.

Can I have laser hair removal if I have light hair?

Unfortunately, laser does not work on light hair.

After how many treatments are the results visible?

The results are visible after the very first treatment. The hair grows back much more slowly, and about 30–40% falls out.
