Although in ancient times ear piercing had a ritual character, today it is a popular practice among people of all ages, mainly as a way of expressing individuality through jewellery.
The ear-piercing gun method involves placing a sterile earring in a special device and then precisely positioning the earlobe in the optimal position for piercing. Before the procedure we carefully mark the points on the skin where the punctures will be made. This ensures the earrings are placed evenly and symmetrically, guaranteeing an attractive look.
It is worth adding that piercing with a gun is quick and minimises discomfort, which makes this method particularly popular with children and people sensitive to pain. Moreover, the use of sterile, single-use earrings eliminates the risk of infection.
How to care for your ears after the procedure?
Keeping the area clean is key, especially in the first weeks after piercing. During this time the earrings must not be removed, to avoid the hole closing and infection. Daily, careful care of the area is essential, ideally with professional antibacterial spray. Gently turning the earring is allowed, but only after washing your hands thoroughly. While healing, avoid the sauna, swimming pool and bathing in open water. Following these recommendations minimises the risk of infection and complications.
How long do the ears take to heal?
Healing after ear piercing is an individual matter and can take different amounts of time for different people. Usually, however, the standard healing time is about six weeks. With the gun method the process can be slightly faster thanks to the precision and speed of the procedure.
